Data Retrieval
From a crashed pc to deliberate deletion of information many times the information is still there, if you can get to it. LMRoss, Inc. can get to it. In certain cases LMRoss, Inc. has saved its clients thousands of dollars in person hours and lost operational time plus revenues by recovering deleted or “lost” data.
There is a great deal of smoke and mirrors about data recovery from computer hard drives. Allow me to make myself unpopular with other recovery companies and enlighten you at the same time.
There are basically two levels of data recovery performed. Non Invasive and Invasive.
Non Invasive simply means that highly specialized data recovery software is used to get the data off of your hard disk. These are usually drives that have accidentally been deleted or formatted. Or the operating system file system has crashed beyond the ability of the computer to boot up or another operating system to see them. This method can be used on drives suffering from very minor mechanical failure such as a bad sector on the actual metal platter.
Invasive means that a major physical failure of the drive components have occurred. and that the faulty part must be replaced. To recover data from such a failure requires hideously expensive equipment and facilities and is priced accordingly.
Now the problem with the industry is this. It has been our experience that approximately 70% of recoveries can be accomplished with Non Invasive techniques which are far, far less expensive to perform. However, most companies will NOT provide you with a price break in any way. I think that is grossly unfair and just dirty business. In order to combat this travesty of commerce we offer two pricing levels.
We perform all non invasive recovery ourselves, in fact, our president does the work. Invasive work is sent to an outside vendor who provides us with price discounts that we pass directly to you.
